At Crescent Town Public School, almost 70% of 780 students have a mother tongue other than English, October 13, 2010..Parents of all cultures and languages mingle with teachers, who in turn wear veils to reflect the multiculturalism of this city. The childern are accustomed to the respect of diversity.Every Principal can go to the Toronto School District website and order signs in the languagues most representative of the student body.Language is learned by immersion, listening, reading and speaking. Grammar isn't taught, it's learned by using the language. Therefore no excersizes on simple past, present perfect etc. a big difference from the teaching methods in Europe.
