Rohingya refugees at the medical centre in Leda refugee camp, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. The Rohingya are a Muslim ethnic group originally from Myanmar (formerly Burma), many of who fled to Bangladesh as refugees (but also Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia), following persecution and human rights violations under the ruling Burmese military junta. The UNHCR is currently working to repatriate them, however many are unable to return due to the Burmese regime, but also face problems in Bangladesh, where they do not receive governmental support.
